Life on Earth has begun too much difficult : too many people for not enough
resources. Scientifics expeditions are trying to adapt others planets of the
Solar System to be quite good for humain life. The subject of this picture is
the terraforming of one of these planets. Scientists have planted vegetal
species, under greenhouses, in order to adapt then later outside and to give
oxygen to the human people. Our future is perhaps on Titan, why not ?
Sorry, if I read a lot of science fiction books, I read them only in french, so
I don't know the english vocabulary for those concepts...

For the french speaking people..

La vie sur la Terre est devenue impossible, trop peu de ressources pour bien
trop d'habitants. Des exp_ditions scientifiques ont entrepris de coloniser
d'autres plan_tes telluriques du Syst_me Solaire en les terraformant,
c'est-_-dire en recr_ant les conditions de la vie terrestres. Pour ce faire,
ils ont implant_ diverses esp_ces v_g_tales qu'ils adaptent petit _ petit _
leur nouvel environnement, en vue de fournir l'oxyg_ne n_cessaire _ la vie
humaine. Notre futur sera sur Titan ? Why not ?


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


I was tring to make this picture when I was (hardly) tring to learn isosurfaces,
so I think it is not a good picture, only an exercise... 
The rocks, the mountains, the vegetation, all are isosurfaces ! The greenhouses
are made whith a half-sphere et three boxes, and the tunnels are simple
cylinders.
I hope that my next participation will be a better picture...

For the french speaking people..

J'_tais en train d'_tudier les isosurfaces quand j'ai d_cid_ de participer _ ce
round. Voil_ pourquoi, quasiment tous les objets de cette sc_ne sont faits en
isosurfaces : aussi bien le relief que les cailloux, que la v_g_tation qui
pousse dans les serres et celle qui flotte sur la mer (de m_thane gel_ ???). Le
reste est compos_ de toutes simples primitives.
J'esp_re que pour ma prochaine participation, j'aurai fait des progr_s dans la
manipulation de ces int_ressantes isosurfaces...
