IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 
    All the children gather around the campfire for Dad's
chilling tale of the escaped convict with a hook for a hand.  The story says
that he is still hiding in these very woods slaughtering unsuspecting campers,
but it's just a story.  Isn't it?


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

The people are all poser models.  I had to texture them myself because C4D
doesn't like to bring in the textures.  The "lurking shadow" is a poser
character with a solid black texture.

The fire is a modified light.  I added plenty of noise and made it very bright. 
If I rendered multiple frames the fire would actually "burn."

The fog is my pride and joy as I came up with it all by myself.  I'm sure it's
been done before but I'm a beginner so I was excited about it.  I took a couple
of planes and added solid white texture to them.  Then I took the transparency
and turned it up with a "noisy" bitmap.  I created some alpha maps that kinda
looked like fog and applied them to the planes.  Voila, realistic looking fog.

The distant trees are from a photo I took one morning when I was in Austria.  I
had to darken up the photo to make it look like night.  Then I applied it as a
background to give the scene depth.
