===== From shevlin@uic.edu: The banner and grail are well done; the banner material is very convincing and the grail is well-detailed. The wooden planks of the table are reasonable convincing, although they seem a bit wavy on their long axis. The wire-wrapping details on the pommel and grip of the sword are quite nice, too. And the coins on the table do make a nice touch. Now for some nitpicking... The chains and grommets on the banner, though well-modeled, seem a bit modern for the image. The dimensions of the sword seem a bit off and the blade isn't very convincing (and why is it stuck in the table like that?). Many of the textures in the scene seem dull; I don't know if that was intentional or not. The scene also seems pretty static to me. You've certainly demonstrated your talent with isosurfaces and CSG, but you might want to look into using a modeller (like sPatch or Hamapatch for example) as an alternative way to create some of the objects in your scenes. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: The concept works. The use of procedurals give it a funny grainy feeling. The fine details like signs of aging and grit and dirt needed to be added. ===== From rgow@lanset.com: Great job on the sword! Banner & stones look good too. Shield looks a bit flat compared to the rest of the objects. ===== From simplepsy@aol.com: Great concept. This certanly fits the theme. Composition is a little 'shakey', I believe placing the sword behind the grail was not the best idea. Theres some very nicely implemented detail in this. ===== From the_dark_allies@hotmail.com: A nice look & feel to this scene. Some extra texture layers would help bring out some realism. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: Modelling is done very well, and the work with prisms is quite impressive. I agree that the scrying bowl and perhaps the coins are weaker elements in the scene, but like you, I believe the scene would seem a bit empty without them. One other suggestion I have is that the walls seem a bit too curvy, lacking a certain sharpness or jaggedness that I'd expect from stone blocks. ===== From skirsch@comcast.net: I feel King Arthur is not Mythology, but a book. Other than that, good job. ===== From file: Most of the objects (sword, coins, book, table, wall) are very realistic. But that's all. It's just a collection of objects. Notable for modelling, textures
