A fairly original Idea.  The use of a simple layout works both for you and
against. Its effective in the way your image is balanced, however it wont
maintain interest for long.  I dont know if you were going for impression or
realism, however, as with all 3D, look at the real thing untill you understand
it, and know it. Look for the details you would not normaly notice. All these
details hold our attention and convince us that it is what you say it is.

The concept works.  However, the flame doesn't look that realistic and a bit of 
wax burn/melted area would have helped.

Good concept but thios seems more like an olympic runners torch than a candle.
And the flame needs some work Then mountains in the distance are a nice touch.
