How have we been able to kill 60 000 people in a few seconds ?
Yes, nuclear weapon is definitely a great invention...

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

I spent large too much time looking at nuclear testing videos and photos, rather
than coding my scene... So as usually, I started really too late, and ended
with a not finished scene.
But it is for the pleasure to have an entry to the IRTC :)

I modelled a nuclear mushroom shape with Wings 3D, and then filled it with
media. Almost all the time has been spent to set the media and find the desired
effect.
The sky and sea was added lately.

Yes, a quite... empty image, but well. The horror is sometimes beyond words and
pixels. It is first an idea I wanted to show here. The power of these weapons
is so unbelievable that a lot of people often forget that our great civilized
nations have all the possibility to wipe the whole planet's surface in a few
minutes.

We shouldn't forget it.
