From skipt1@aol.com:
This is a very nice image and one of my favorites out of the group. The IRTC
asks for an original image, however. You have changed the settings and
rerendered it so I don't think it violates the rules, but how much work went
into it during the competition time frame compared to other entries that were
created from scratch? The concept is perfect and the elements come together to
make this image. Nice job.

From tryan2@rochester.rr.com:
A softer shadow would add a great effect.

From povray@doublezero.uklinux.net:
It lost marks for being an old image, but this is a nice image - like a less
cheesy version of one of those motivator posters.

From shevlin@uic.edu:
Unfortunately, this image doesn't qualify for the IRTC:

 1.1.3 I have a great image that I made last week / month / year / lifetime
that fits perfectly with the current topic--can I enter it?
No. Images must be original, created specifically for the round in which
they are entered. You can, however, use objects, textures, and other elements
from past scenes.

I like very much the bright colors of this image. They
make me feel "summer".

From hildurka@simnet.is:
According to your text this is an old scene and not made specifically for this
round. According to the rules of this competition this is not allowed. You can
use elements from some older work, models, textures etc. but the scene as a
whole should be made in these two months after the topic has benn announced. I
like your image though and it fits the topic well and it_s absolutely a very
good first render.

Brilliant. I love this image. This is what I want my pool to be like.

From comradevladimir2@yahoo.co.uk:
I didnt think you were allowed to reuse images, maybe Ive got the rules wrong

From renebui@aol.com:
A good idea and a good rendering.
But I don't like the palm-tree shadow. Why you haven't used the excellent
free Pov-Tree ?

Whoa... this gives me chills. Very well done!

From 25ct@lineone.net:
Excellent concept. That would indeed be an 'Epic Proportion'! ;)

From sshelby@shelbyvision.com:
Looks very refreshing! When I was a kid I went with
cousins to a pool that seemed almost this big, but it was
filled with people.

=====
From jacoons@ameritech.net:
The water looks good, although the "lanes" end rather abruptly.

=====
From file:
I like the idea, and the water looks really inviting, however the objects in the
forground look too plastic to me, and the unrealistic shadow from the plam
really ruins it for me -- shadows usually have a much softer edge. The camera
position is also a bit stange for me. It's better than I could have done
though, and I feel that with practice, you will be able to turn great ideas
into great images.
