TITLE: A Child's Eye NAME: Paul Godden COUNTRY: United Kingdom EMAIL: paul_godden@tiscali.co.uk WEBPAGE: n/a TOPIC: Toys & Games COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: pcgchild.jpg RENDERER USED: Bryce TOOLS USED: Paint Shop Pro RENDER TIME: 3 Hrs HARDWARE USED: Athlon XP 2200+, GeForce FX, 1Gb DDR Ram IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The view of what I thought a child would see when playing with his/her toy trains. After all, they're not toys to children, they're real. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Inspiration from seeing my son Connor play with his toys and how into his trains and cars he was. Basic Height fields created in PSP, the trains modelled on the real thing, in my son's toy box. Made from the usual boxes and things with boolean operations on them. Distant hills created from three fractal landscapes from within Bryce, and layered at different angles to each other. River effect taken from in-built height field in bryce and played about with (although I'm still not happy with it!) basic plants and trees, also in-built in Bryce. Track (although not really visible) taken from digital picture of track, and turning into a height field in PSP. Houses created using basic objects and texture created in PSP. Good fun to do! Please be gentle, with lots of tips!! Thanks!
