DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Please see "mincir1.txt" for information regarding modeling, lighting, rendering - the same techniques were used here. I found out that band-aids* are not as easy to do as I had thought. First off if you don't get the proportion right it just looks silly. So I left my basement studio in search of a real band-aid. Once found I hastened back down and stuck it on the top center edge of my monitor. It has holes. It is translucent. It is not flat. These observations were essential for making a believable band-aid. I created a opacity map to make the holes and rounded ends. Since the pink part of the band-aid is translucent, I had to create the cotton too. There is definitely no substitution for seeing the real thing while you work. * I'm using lower case here to distinguish between the brand and generic bandages.
