I like this scene. It really feels like a still from a movie, so I would encourage you to do an animation, just for your own satisfaction!
Textures could be improved of course (finer grained wood for instance).
Watch out for the light. It is very washed-out now and I am not sure the shadows all correspond well to the lighting (especially the two bulb ramps on both sides of the mirror). Try to discard those last ones and use only one light source. It would increase the dramatic effect.
