JPGFILE: hidcomhs.jpg RENDERER USED: POV-ray for Windows v 3.6 TOOLS USED: Photoshop 7.0 (only to change file format) RENDER TIME: 1 h 18 m 27 s HARDWARE USED: Dell Dimension 2400 2.66 GHz P4 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Sometimes, what seem to be a simple object, is really a very complex one. In this case, I have taken the most basic sphere on a checkered plane and cut away a section. Hidden inside is a complex world, much like our own. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Actually, there rally isn't much technically to the image itself. The hardest part was playing with and adjusting the lighting and the clouds. I am still very new to ray tracing and computer-generated art. I actually only started learning POV-ray about 6 weeks ago. I entered this, one of my first scenes, as an example of what one can accoplish with free software and only the tutorial and help file included with it.
