===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: I suppose low speed is still speed, though it's a fairly debatable interpretation of the topic. Very pretty image nonetheless. You could use some more elaborate clouds (they look rather like a flat plane) and the shading on the island looks inconsistent with the lighting in the scene. ===== From iacopo.mochi@tele2.it: Simple but effective. Maybe the moon is too much big: it looks like it is observed with a telescope ===== From zekaric@yahoo.ca: (To take with a grain of salt, I'm no pro.) Some of the better images are simple ones. The boat may be a simple model but I don't see any problem with it. It looks good. The sky is a little too flat looking. The ground could use some character (ground objects) instead of just looking like rock. ===== From BigTrav2001@chartermi.net: Very nice image overall. You might consider making the stars both larger and fewer though. As it is now, I could almost be convinced they are a light snow. Nice use of the rubber ducky - give them a tiny wake, and I'll rank you #1 for the round. (: ===== From p.gibellini@teinos.com: Very relaxing scene. Very slow. ===== From nargy@yahoo.com: The image itself gives a very good impression. Im not sure the theme was well followed however. ===== From ruy@hipernet.com.br: Dead off-topic no matter what you call it. That said, it is a beautiful image. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: "Speed"? C'mon. Since you explicitly decided to "illustrate the = opposite", this image is by definition off-topic. What a shame, though, because this is a SUPERB image. Quiet and = peaceful. The placement of two ducks in the moon's reflection is = absolutely perfect. The grayscale color theme is evocative. The spotty = sky areas bother me a little, but it took a while to notice this. The = moon seems rather too big, but I'll give you artistic license for it. = The small light on the boat adds a lot, although it might be nice to = balance it with some equally small lights in a little cabin on the left = shore. Good work, look forward to seeing more of yours in upcoming = competitions. Try to keep them on topic, though :-) ===== From 25ct@lineone.net: I like this image a lot. It has a mood about it that I can't quite quantify. Possibly a more fitting title would be 'Alone'. Anyway, I can see the 'slowness' in this image, but I'm wondering if the moon should have been so big. That's my only bugbear, as the whole image is good. Nice one.
