===== From zekaric@yahoo.ca: Is it me or does it look like there is a 'neat' horizontal line where ice stops on the trees in the background. I'm noticing artifacts in the sky which I don't know if that would be encoding error or how it was made. Other than that it's very well done. ===== From tek@evilsuperbrain.com: Very beautiful image. Probably my favourite this round. I'd suggest that snow should be more reflective and less opaque, it should look like a dense media. Also the glow from the sun looks too circular for sun shining through branches, I'd expect it to have rays of light. ===== From zerozerozerozero@wyan.org: Congratulations on producing a truly beautiful image. ===== From ian_c_thornton@hotmail.com: Incredible image. It would be photorealistic if you removed the fence (the blobs of snow on the vertical surfaces of the fence just doesn't look right at all). The snow is absolutely spot-on, as is the way the snow hangs on the main tree and the effect of the sun shining through the branches. Wow! Real shame about the fence though. ===== From limdaepl@gmx.de: very photorealistic! the arrangement and the appearance of the trees in the back is to regular and there seems to be an problem with the texture though. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Artistist merit is high. You have captured the specular highlights of real snow - I know that is tough to achieve. The frosted tree is a nice detail that adds to the impact. ===== From jgrimbert@free.fr: Your snow texture is wonderful. I only regret the missing obvious fire of the topic. The size of the tree is a bit too thin at the trunc for the number of branches. ===== From fcueto@rice.edu: Beautiful image. ===== From file: I love the lighting on this picture it's just very original and the shadowing on the snow is great to... Also the texturing on the snow is very realistic which is very neat! Notable for modelling, lighting, textures ===== From file: The fence texture looks a bit out of place when everything else is so stunningly photorealistic. I like the snow in the foreground.
