TITLE: "Dumped!" NAME: Steve Paget COUNTRY: Wales EMAIL: 25ct@lineone.net TOPIC: From Rubbish Bin to Junkyard... (or not!) COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: dumped.jpg RENDERER USED: WinPoV 3.5 TOOLS USED: Wings 3D, PoseRay, Wilbur, PoVTree, Irfanview for image conversion to .jpg format. RENDER TIME: 1 hour 54 mins. HARDWARE USED: AMD Sempron 2800+, 1.6GHz, 1024MB RAM. IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A beautiful corner of the Welsh countryside in the height of Summertime. Actually, it's a take on the beauty of any nice-looking countryside and the ill-meaning habits of man. 'Fly-tipping' is bad practice in the UK and is getting worse as time goes on. I've never spotted a washing machine yet, (give it time), but I have found TV's, mattresses, armchairs, settees, and all sorts of other junk in settings just like this image. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Everything you see was created in Wings3D apart from the bushes, the trees, and the ground, (which you can't see apart from near the tree in the background). The short grass is made up of 65 square patches and the taller grass is made up of 7 'clumps'. All in all, there are 356,638 frame level objects, which, I think, makes it my most intensive image yet! :oO Anyway, hope you like it. Good luck all. Steve
