TITLE: The Rubbage Bin NAME: Nimish Ajmani COUNTRY: USA EMAIL: povuser@gmail.com WEBPAGE: None TOPIC: From Rubbage Bin to Junkyard COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: junkyard.jpg ZIPFILE: junkyard.zip RENDERER USED: POV-Ray v3.6 TOOLS USED: Pov-Ray, Paint (Conversion) RENDER TIME: Aprox. 8 hours to Render, 2 days to think HARDWARE USED: Toshiba Laptop IMAGE DESCRIPTION: This image shows a rubbage bin with a junkyard in the background. This image is situated in a city alley. The junkyard is placed in a space between three buildings. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: This image started with blobs, boxes, cylinders and spheres, each a different color. The image was very rough and had no fine detail. I had the walls grey, bin orange, and junkpile blue. The fence was nothing but the cylinder seen on top. Also, the floor was only a black and white checker. Slowly, I added the textures, image maps, and detail. The fence crossbeams took the longest, especially because of all the crossbeams. The man dumping trash into the bin was an idea I came up with around the end. I know he is not the best, but it is the first time I attempted to create a humanoid. the "clothes" are just different colored components. Also, If you realize, he has no feet. I am trying to add feet and hope to have better humans in my next pictures. Also, the fog was a new idea. I was not planning it and thought it would add a little mystery to the picture. It worked great (at least to me). Please give me any suggestions as to how to make this image better. This is my first ever submission to the IRTC, so excuse me for it's simplicity. I am still learning the advanced features of Pov-ray and hope to submit better in the future. PS: I will ONLY open email from adresses on the comment page.
