RENDER TIME: aprox 11 hours (without antialiasing) HARDWARE USED: Celeron 2.4Ghz 512Mb RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Too skiny model on the catwalk When I read the topic, I imagine it related to the last Madrid Fashion Week, where the skynny models where banned from catwalk (they decided who could enter based on thier body mass index). I figured how they look in some years if they have not take this desition... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: When I thought about modelling a Supermodel, I realized that the Poser world is pleny of many objects and figures, but all paid. I proposed to find free things, so I started to search in Internet, and found many things. The bad side is, although they are free, many of them restrict the distribution of the models, so I decided not to release them with the files (also they are very big in size). First I use the free model Victoria 3 Base from DAZ3D (http://www.daz3d.com). Then found the excellents Kozaburo hairs, and decide to use the Messy Hair (http://digitalbabes2.com). The dress is EvillInocence's L33T Strapless Minidress (www.evilinnocence.com) From DAZ3D, also I used the boots from Aphrodite. The earrings are from Vampirella 2 for V3 (www.planetvixens.com). I changed the textures of the dress to POVRay type textures using a material map for the decoration in solid colors (the flower was painted in paintshop pro). The upper part is a crackle texture and normal, using a black color for the borders, and a colored reflection to give the apparience of copper. The pantyhose were simulated using a transparency image map around the legs. To make that, Poseray again was extremely useful: to generate a UV map from the V3 model, and to asign the map to the POVRay texture. The image use lightly Media: a scattering media with a constant density (although my tries to use a turbulent one, that looks good). Also it use photons to obtain the bright spots in the dress sides, from the reflection of the arms. All the lights are using fade power =2 to give natural look, as the excellent tutorials in www.ignorancia.org advices. With a little time more, I would use the Lightsys lighting system... Finally, it use radiosity to give a realistic look, specially to obtain the dark ambient, using an ambient 0.0 for the background. To give a better visibility to the earrings, in the texture of it, I use ambient 0.9
